Many dog owners know this moment: a hot day, delicious ice cream in hand, and a pair of pleading dog eyes fixed on the bowl. The temptation to share a bit with your pet is huge. Unfortunately, traditional ice cream contains lactose and high amounts of sugar, which are harmful to a dog’s digestive system. The good news is, you no longer have to deny your dog a cool treat on hot days.
