Dogs, empathy and responsibility – a report from the meeting at Hotel Linea Mare

Last Saturday, March 15, 2025, an extraordinary educational meeting for children took place at Hotel Linea Mare, dedicated to dogs and responsible care for our four-legged friends. Our special guest was the manager of the Sosnowice Animal Shelter, who interestingly talked about the daily life of shelter dogs and how we can help them.

🐾 Film and conversation about the shelter
The children eagerly watched footage showing the activities of the shelter. They learned why dogs end up in shelters and what ways exist to improve their fate – from adoption to volunteering and fundraising for animals.

🐾 Educational fun
During the joint discussion, the children considered the pros and challenges of owning a dog. We collectively concluded that caring for a pet is not only a joy but also a responsibility that requires commitment and dedication.

🐾 Creating a caregiver's guide
The children actively contributed to creating a guide for future dog owners. Among the most important advice were: the need for daily walks, regular veterinary visits, and providing the dog with love and a sense of security.

🐾 Dog body language
During this part of the meeting, participants learned how to properly greet a dog and what to avoid to make the four-legged friend feel comfortable and safe. We learned how to recognize warning signals sent by dogs and how to build positive relationships with them.

At the end, the children received a special gift from our dog ambassador - Lineo.

This unique event was not only great fun but, above all, a valuable lesson in empathy and responsibility. We are delighted to have hosted such wonderful young animal lovers and to explore the secrets of the dog world together.
